L2 visa extension question

I was working for past 2 years in US on L2 visa with Ead. My company A filed H1 for me and just got to know the petition was approved. It should be valid from Oct 2012. I have my L2 visa till dec 2012. Now my husband is applying for L1 extension through his company B. Can he add me as L2 dependent in his L1 extension application?

I-539 can be filled by your or on your behalf to extend your L2 status. If approved the change of status part of the H1 petition will get voided (your status will change back to L2). The H1 petition itself will remain valid. If that happens you will need valid EAD to work.
