  • Extention of I-94

My I-94 is expiring on 30th Dec 2012 and my passport is also expiring on 30th Dec2012 whereas my Visa expiration date is 31st march 2013. I have recently applied for my new passport and have received it.
Now I want to apply for extention of my I-94. I am on L2 Visa. How can I apply for extention of I-94? Please advice. Is there a way I can do it without leaving the country.

L2 is a dependent visa, dependent on Primary L1 Visa. You can request for L2 I-94 extension only till the primary L1 I-94 date. When is your spouse's L1- I94 expiring?

This is my opinion not legal advice.

If your spouse's I-94 is expiring in the future, you can file I-539 to extend your I-94. Search for form and instructions on USCIS website.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

Assuming you mean March 2013 in that case as Kabkaba mentioned you can file I-539 to extend your I-94 till March 2013. This is my opinion not legal advice.
