L1A and H1B applications at the same time

Hello,

I am currently on L1B Visa and will be completing 5 years in Nov. My employer has filed my L1A Visa which is pendind at USCIS. I have received receipt number for the same.
Another employer has filed my H1B visa. They have received RFE for the same.

My question is, if H1B Visa petetion gets approved, what will USCIS do in case of L1A visa application for the same candidate? Does USCIS consider both applications independently irrespective of status/approval ? Is there a possibility that even L1A can get approved? Or since H1B is approved, L1A will be rejected by default?

You can only be one status at a time.

Therefore, once the first application is approved, you will be on that status. Once the second application is approved, you will be on that second status.
