My wife has not seen her son for a long time???

I recently married a Brazilian woman who was here in the USA on a visitor Visa. Her son is presently in Brazil and she misses him desperately. We have filed all of the relevant forms and are basically waiting to hear something back. Can my wife got to Brazil on an advanced parole and bring her son back with her, and then file to adjust his status? I am a US citizen.
Please if anyone knows anything please help us.

Has she filed adjustment of status application based on marriage to you?

I have filed the I-130 for my wife and we are just waiting for the interview now. But I think she may have been in the country a bit over the 180 day period and I dont think she can risk going back to Brazil even with an advanced parole. However, I asked the lady on the phone when I called immigration and she said her last Visa is void because now she falls under the LIFE act.....I am so confused???? I guess my quyestion is, is there anything we can can do? Can I go and get her son? Does a 6 year old need a Visa to travel? Can you please help me.
