  • Assistance with a U Visa

I have been involved with my significant other for close to 25 years. We met in Toronto Canada, and she moved to Houston Texas in 1997. We have a daughter who was born in 2003 and a son who was born in 2010. We got married in January 2013. Hoping that my wife would finally sponsor me to move to Houston. Up to now nothing and she is making a number of financial demands. In addition the to the large sum of money I have already spent since 2010 and prior in order to have a family.

While I was reviewing the paperwork for the green card application it came to my attention that my wife was married to another man when she had our daughter No documents have been provided by him explaining anything. Our son was conceived via IVF or so I was told. Me and my wife were not involved at the time, she claimed to have accessed biological samples that I had donated a while ago. I later found out that the Boy is not mine. Once again no documentation has been provided by the other party explaining that he has no involvement with the child including any financial support even though I have requested it a number of times.

Currently my wife has hired an attorney in Toronto who is writing to me and making demands. Based on what I understand of the Texas child support guidelines I am not financially responsible for either of the two children, I should note that during all this time I was doing my best to keep the family unit together with no attempt from my wife to try and unite us. From what I can say, my wife married me 2 years ago in an attempt to promise me a green card happy family yet nothing has happened yet. 3 times sh was going to the immigration attorney to submit final documents passport pictures and citizenship certificate yet backed out. Any other time she doesn't get what she wants she threatens divorce. I want to know if any attorney is prepared and qualified to assist me. I have letters ready to send out to various law enforcement officials through out the U.S.A. Please contact me to discuss further.

U visas are given to folks who will end up testifying in criminal proceedings. You need the prosecutors sign-off. Blackmail and fraud are crimes, but talk of a U visa seems premature at this time.

She is your spouse, and she can petition for you to get a green card if she wants to.
