My lawyer has just informed me, that I don't need to apply for the visa stamp to come to the US, I can travel to a contiguous territory (such as Mexico in my case), and be there for less than 30 days and come back with my I-94 (from a new O-1 status I just received while in the US).
My issue is this - I have already scheduled US consulate appointment in Mexico. To use the automatic visa revalidation, I have to not have any visa application pending. So, if I cancel my appointment, would I be cancelling my application? Could I enter the US then?
Also, my lawyer said that it's better to enter by car, and not by plane... (Border control on land is much more knowledgeable)
Please help!
