Hi,
Was hoping someone could help me.
I applied for a B2 Tourism visa back on the 11/05/2015 where I had an interview at the US embassy in London. I got declined an ESTA due to a criminal conviction for GBH without intent of which I was given a 6 month sentence in 2010 and served 2 months due to good behavior. At the interview the counselor declined me an ESTA also due to the criminal record, he then advised he will put me forward for a “waiver of ineligibility". I was told it would take approximately 6 months from the date of my interview. Now I know it's only a few days beyond the 6 month period but I was wondering if anyone else has been through something similar and could shed some light on there outcome.
I'm a full UK citizen, was born in the UK, have a very respectable job within the FCA and other than the one criminal conviction of GBH I mentioned I've never been in trouble before.
Would appreciate any help, thanks.
