  • FNU in visa and LNU in air ticket

    Hello,

Issue is "FNU in visa and LNU in air ticket March 20"

We have india passport with only given name/first name: YYYY YYY
No sur name or last name.

When we apply for USA B2 Visa last name is mandatory so adviced to use given name as last name and FNU. i.e. FNU YYYY YYY

Now we are booking AI airticket whcih we need to match with passport so booked as first name and LNU. i.e. YYYY YYY LNU

So can you let us know if any issue while POE or any issue?

    Thanks

While booking flight ticket you have to provide name as per the passport. There will not be any issue at the port of entry.

Yes, for airticket giving name as in passport(only firstname)
        like below make no issues?
        FirstName: Xxx Yyy
        Lastname: LNU

FNU next to my youngest son's name

          Hello forum members,

Hope you all doing well. First time posting and thank you this forum for some great information provided

i have this acronym next to my youngest son on the https://ceac.state.gov ; and following with a private immigration service center (whom are helping ppl processing their documents) in my country in Jordan, they said that this means family name unknown.

my question is: will it cause a problem in the port entry when time comes, for my son getting his driving license, and/or other processing documents in the future? as i read many notes about it. if so? how can i fix this?

P.s.: we are processing an F3 immigrant visa, my mother in law have an american passport, applied for my wife, me, and 3 children. our priority date is on July05 and the priory date still on 22NOV04

          thanks for help.
          Good Luck to All,
