The esta web site states authorisation pending.
Applied a week ago and web site states you will have a determination within 72 hours. There is no way of checking or contacting anybody.travel in two weeks to states (hopefully). If denied which it shouldnt be probably too late to apply for non immigration visa.any advice ,help would be gratefully received.

All you can do is wait to see if the ESTA is approved. They say you can possibly obtain if approved a B1/B2 visitor visa within about 2 weeks, but that is probably the best possible scenario. You have to apply, go to an interview at the consulate (which you may not even be able to schedule within 2 weeks), and then there is processing time.
