currently on H1-B, married to a permanent resident

I am on H1-B visa working with a company that started my green card processing 2 years ago. My husband has a green card.
My H1-B expires Nov 2006. If I stay with my company, they will keep extending my H1-B till my green card goes through.
But if I quit or get laid off before the green card comes through, what are the options I have to continue living in the US? Can my husband sponspor me for a non-immigrant visa?
