  • Change of citizenship

    Hi,
I have the option of changing my citizenship from Indian to Singaporean. I was born in india but was in singapore for the last 6 years and have a Premanent residency for singapore for the same period. I am presently in the US on H4 visa.

    1) If I get the singaporean citizenship, will I fall under the H1 quota reserved for singaporeans or is it dependent on the place of birth and I will still remain under the normal 58200 category?
    2) Could there be any issues in my H4 visa related to the change in citizenship? i.e. before entering the US can I get a new H4 visa issued by obtaining new papers from my spouses company.
    3) Will changing my citizenship to singaporean help me in obtaining Green Card quickly.
    4) As I understand I cannot apply for the Green Card lottery as it is dependent on the place you were born. Does this apply EB categories also and if so will I fall under the indian EB categories?

    Thanks
