Rescheduling Interview

Hi guys, My only question is that, My interview has been scheduled in INDIA New Delhi for immigrant visa. But due to some very good reason i cannot make it on that such day. So i want to Reschedule my interview date, Do anyone have any idea how long it will take if i will reschdule it and if i do so, Does it have any negative effect on my case, and how many more months they will take to give me next interview date. THANKS
