I am a green card holder from China due to marrying a US citizen. I wonder how long it will take for me to become a us citizen. Once I become a US citizen, I wonder if I can help my niece (a twelve-year old girl) come to study in US.

Five years as permanent resident before being able to apply for citizenship - which includes more background checks and an exam.

And the fact that you are a green card holder or US citizen might hurt your niece, more than help her - under the assumption she might come to the US and try to stay illegally.

You are a permanent resident for 3 years, who is currently married to a U.S. citizen, and has been married to the same U.S. citizen for the past 3 years you can apply for US citizenship. Your niece can come to US on a valid F-1 student visa.
