Transferring visa from old passport to new one

I am on H4 have the visa until 2009. Recently, I had to get a new passport as the old passport time-expired. My visa is stamped on the old passport. Now I am visiting India. Will there be any problem in re-entry to the US because the visa is not stamped on the new passport? However I will be carrying both the old and new passports with me. I wrote to Chennai US embassy asking for their advice, but they have not yet replied. I will appreciate a reply.

Travel with both passports. There's no way to "transfer" a visa from one passport to another.

it doesnt matter as long as you carry your old passport. if you check, the old passport should say - passport cancelled without prejudice or something to that effect.

make sure you have the old and new passport until the new one expires.
