Visa issues
Hi,
I have been trying real hard to find out which visa catagory i would fall under, but i cannot seem to see any way. I will explain my situation and i would be more than grateful is someone could point me in the right direction.
I am 19 years old, and live in the UK. I want to move to the united states as soon as possible. My girlfriend lives in Chicago, and i would like to start a new life over there.
I would like to move to Chicago, find a job (I am willing to start almost anywhere to be honest), and then once i have a steady income, go back to college doing night classes.
I have no employment links, and i wanted to go over and find a place first, then look for a job in the coming months afterwards. I have money saved to keep me going for more than a couple months and strongly believe i could make it work. If only i knew how to get there..
I have no criminal record whatsoever, and have a decent college education, so i was simply wondering how someone like me (with no real links to the country) could move there legally.
I would like to stress that i am thinking of returning to college not university, and this would be after i am settled for a short while with a job. As far as i can see, that would rule out any colleges helping me, and also, because i have no employment links, that would rule out any company helping me also.
I am willing to look into immigration into the US also, but as far as i can see, there is no catagory for someone like me there either?..
As i don't believe i can apply for neither a student visa, or any kind of employment visa, any guidance at all would be MUCH appreciated. I am going in circles, and it is almost impossible to get good clear help on this specific issue.
