Gentlemen / Mesdames:
What are lenders requirements for Canadian citizen retirees, intending to spend annually six winter month in California and purchasing a home.
There appears to be a confusion about I-94 entry& exit recording for those that require Visa with a specified duration of stay.
Canadians while requiring a passport do not have a staying time limitation and therefore a I-94 is irrelevant and not applicable as it would not serve any purpose in verifying unauthorized stay. Yet some read the ruling as though it applies to all regardless of relevancy of unauthorized stay or illegal entry.
I would appreciate reference to a source for validation of the above interpretation.
