EAD question - domestic violence

I suffer from domestic violence. Presently I am working. He has H1 also, and my EAD came after his company applied for his green card. I am divorcing my husband.

But if I divorce him, will my EAD card also be terminated? What can I do to protect it? I heard somewhere that my EAD doesn't depend on his status. Secondly, battered women's green card can be applied separately. Is that true?
