My brother is going for student visa (F1) in July to Chennai Embassy. I have been in US for last 7 years and also came on F1 initially. Also my mom is currently visiting me in US. Does my brother have to mention my name and my mothers in the relatives section of DS-156? Can they find out if he does not mention us. My father is sponsoring him for studies, i would liek to keep myself out of the picture.
He had mentioned my name as US contact in the visa appointment form for TTS visa, leter cancelled the appt and rebooked a different date with university as contact. Will this raise a flag?
Please advise.
