Hi all,
A friend of mine applied for F1 renewal at the chennai consulate through drop box on the 7th of May 2004.
His packet was returned to him on the 20th of May. They mentioned that at this time they are unable to issue a visa and asked him to send in just the DS-156 application form again.
In the passport, the previous visa has a seal that says
"Cancelled with no prejudice".
He had to make a few changes in the form before submitting as suggested by tts. They asked him to fill up line 25, which asks the name and telephone number of ther person he will be staying with, with his own name and number.
And also in line 15, which asks for home address, he had filled up with his permanent residence in India. Should he leave that as it is, or fill it with his current home address in the US?
Hoping to get some responses soon as he has to reapply at the earliest...Thanks...
