Hi:
I applied for a f-1 to v-1 (I-539) for my wife. I am a GC holder. This petition was approved.
My lawyer told us that we were ok to leave the country and go to any consulate and get this stamped on her passport.
However upon arriving at the consulate in Nairobi, Kenya (My wife is a Kenyan passport holder) we were told that they have not recieved any information about our case from the NVC and that we would have to wait until this was sent from the NVC. Also she would have to redo her medical exam and her finger printing.
We already did this while we applied for the transfer.
We left the country only on the advice of the lawyer and now we are in a soup.
Anyone has any ideas/suggestions ?
