Hi There,
I am a legal resident under a green card.
I am helping out a friend who is applying for a O-1 visa. He has all the necessary documentation and he is really a top guy in his field. I 'm helping him set up a business in the States so that the business will sponsor him. His lawyers say that I can have 0% ownership in the company but have to be CEO or on the board of directors. Am I putting myself at any risk? His immigration lawyers say this is perfectly legal, but i'm not entirely sure it is (I am not familiar with this subject, so I can't trust my judgement). What is your impartial opinion?
