Hello all,
I have an emergency problem. I am currently on J1 visa and I extended it till August 25th. I am doing my residency in internal medicine as a doctor and could extend it because my board exam is on that day. I have already a contract signed for a waiver position and a law firm is working on my waiver. The problem is my medical license application, I am not sure if it will be processed on time and the waiver requires the existence of a license. What do I do in case the license process takes longer than expected in worse case scenario and my visa expires? Once I go back to my home country, can I still go for this waiver once the license is issued or do I have to stay there for 2 yrs no matter what?
