Hi all, thanks in advance for any input.
I am in process of filing an I-485 for my wife, who originally arrived in the country under a B2 Visitor's Visa.
The Philippine Consular requires that her passport be updated within 30 days of name change (marraige).
I am wondering if someone can provide insight regarding the currency of her current (maiden name) passport and it's respective I94. Will these still be valid after her passport is updated (replaced) at the Consulate of the Philippines in New York?
Assuming the I485 is approved, she will get a stamp in her passport (old or new?) for the temporary GC. We need to reference information (the 194) from her old passport, but is this transferrable to the updated passport with her married name?
Any insight in the matter is greatly appreciated.
