Forgot Security Answer in US Visa Scheduling Portal

    So I tried both options , and called up customer support and provided the case number, they updated the email address on the profile from blackened and was told to sign up using new account in 20-30 min and every detail should be migrated.

    However , I do not see my appointment detail. So got to call them up again !

          *Update : How to update security questions after being locked out from the profile.

          After multiple attempts trying to get help over the last 15 days , finally had security questions updated and got access to portal.


          Here are the steps

          1) Login to portal ( can use friend or family member portal or create a new account just for this sake)

          2) Open a case through the portal , requesting for email address update on impacted account and attached passport copy

          3) Note down the case number and reach help desk via phone ( After 10 PM or 11 PM PST worked best , 45 - 50 min is the wait time )

          4) Wait on the call while they update the email address

          5) Sign up using the new address after 3-6 hrs


          Tips

          - Having a case number makes huge difference in getting assistance from customer support.

          - Limit to one question per case and keep it simple and very clear

          - Avoid re-opening the case , instead create a new one ( always reference your previous cases)

          - Must use an email address that is not associated with any account in USVisa Scheduling portal ( Create a new email if needed)

          - Do not sign up using the new email address immediately after the having it updated , wait for 3 hours at the least ( or you will have to create a new email and go back to step 1)

          - Best time to reach is after 11PM PST , at time the number is not reachable. Keep trying every 30 min. ( (703) 520-2239)

          - Minimum wait time to talk to customer rep is 45 - 55 min ( Hang in there !!)

          - Not all customer rep or well aware of the process or very helpful. ( keep trying till you get the right person to help)


          Hope this helps , it took me 15 days and 7 calls with customer support. Nearly 10 cases and 5 unresponsive emails to help desk. It’s beyond frustrating , but it is what it is ..

              I am in the same boat. I gave 9K to one slot seller and he changed the security questions and would not give me the information even after giving him 9K INR. Now I have been opening case after case on the portal website, but they keep closing the case saying it has been resolved. Some replies asked me give new email ID that has not been used previously, which I did like 4 times (created a new email id every time) but they kept replying saying the profile exists with that email id. Not sure what to do . My classes will start in Jan 2024 and I am running out of time to book the slot. The slot seller book the slot for me but the visa date is in April 2024 even though i clearly told him i needed visa slot before dec 2024. I cannot login becoz i don't know the security questions. I created a new portal and started opening cases.
              After seeing your replies that your case got resolved eventually after so many tries, this gives me some hope..... I will try again and try ot call them with the case number. I had lost all hopes until I saw ur comments. THank you Guys​

                  So I called the customer care today and got in touch with the rep after 3 hours of waiting on the line.... Gave them the new email ID and was told that they updated my new email ID and that i should try to login after few hours. It has been 4 hours since I called them. I will try to login after 1-2 hours (just don't want to take a chance). I will update here if I am able to retrieve my profile or not. Thank you.

                      Hey chilukk, I am also in the same boat. Which option did you take to solve for this?

                      I took option 1 and I got an email (with the correct case id - which I got from the agent over a phone call) saying that the case is resolved, login to check the comment. Does it mean that the account transfer is done? Through option 1, the agents refuse to do it on the call, not sure why.

                      Did you get any communication from them saying that the issue is resolved?

                        Hello,
                        I was able to resolve the issue. You can try and it may help you as well.

                        Here are the steps.
                        1. Send an email to [email protected] from your registered email addreess, stating that you want to update/change your email address. Attach your first and last page passport copy.
                        2. Very Important!! In email, mention new email address that you have not used to create profile on usvisascheduling site.
                        3. After sending an email, Call to customer service # at ** 703 520 2239. (50 to 90 mins waiting time) OR through live chat - https://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/en/contact-us (45 to 60 mins waiting time)
                        4. They will update your email address on call/chat.
                        5. After 2-3 hours, you need to sign up with new email address and create a new profile and you will get all your details in new ID.

                          Brother's, me too had same issue. Scammers had reset my security questions and now threatening to pay money again to resolve this issue. I denied to pay the money and mentioned them I take the legal action against them. I dont see a response though from them.

                          Sent an email to [email protected] seeking help but they closed the ticket without a resolution. Sent another email and awaiting response from them.

                          I totally agree we need to log a complaint with cyber crime department and shouldn't leave these guys like this. I am pretty sure there are many victims like us who dont know how to proceed in this. In fact I have drafted an email to the hyderbad cyber crime department and kept it ready with detailed information which happened in my case.

                          You may message me in case you want to join me logging a complaint. I am totally unsure how deal with this being us living in the US.

                          Suggestions are welcome!!

                              I contacted the helpdesk through live chat - https://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/en/contact-us​ and I've got my email id updated. There was a wait time hardly 10 mins for me. The email id was effective immediately after they updated and I could login into my account.​
