    H4 expired out of status U Visa

    Hi I have filed U visa petition but my H4 expired sometime in September 2010. Am I out of status now? Do I have 180 days grace period?

    Will I be in status after getting the U Visa submission receipt? Can I leave the country before the U visa is approved?
