Hi all,
I am currently on OPT student visa. My OPT is gonna expire very soon. want to apply for J2 as dependent on my husband's J1visa(He is doing MD residency in USA). I have few questions regarding this:
My biggest question is- I got married in India. My last name on marriage certificate(my husband's last name is printed) is different from my passport name (my original last name is printed in passport and on my F1 visa). So, if I apply for change of visa status to J2, are they going to raise any objections about this? if yes, what should I do to fix it?
I would really appreciate your help ASAP
