  • I-130 Visa

    Hi,

I am new to this forum. My Dad is a US Citizen for approx. 15 years. He filed an I-130 visa for me as an unmarried son last January and I am expecting it to be processed in the next few months. I am from the UK.

My question is I now have a fiance who I am very much in love with and wants to move to the US with me. Does anyone know how I go about this? She is a UK Citizen. Would I be able to marry her before I get my visa etc or am I better waiting until my visa is granted and then doing it?

I am confused but we both want to move to the USA as soon as is possible.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

My wife and I were selected for DV2010 but I was a soldier and I had no right to have a passport, so I was Unable to assist interview in the U.S. consulate in Morocco.
On the other hand I inform you that we have been married 03 years before our selection to the DV2010 and my name was in the second letter from Kentucky consular centre as beneficiary.
Now my wife is in USA and I have passport because I have finished my contract in the military.

    MY QUESTION:
Is it true that If you were married to your spouse before you became a permanent resident, your spouse may be eligible to receive following-to-join benefits. This means that you would not have to submit a separate Petition for Alien Relative, for your spouse, and your spouse would not have to wait any extra time for an immigrant visa to become available?

    How about my case please?
Thanks in advance, and best regards
