After getting visa for USA from Rome, Italy, can I travel to USA from an airport in India? Or is it necessary that one needs to travel from the same country where one gets the visa? Thank you.

As far as i know, the Visa is valid irrespective of your origin. People sometimes STOPOVER on their way to the US and this does not affect the entry.
