R1 for a childcare educator in Catholic School

Hi everybody,

I live in Canada and will soon move very close to the border. (on canadian side). My wife is a childcare educator and my kids will attend a school located in the US. (15 minutes from where we are going to live) The school is a catholic school offering pre K to Sixth grade. My wife will have to find a job once there and we ask ourselves if she could qualify for a R1 visa as a child educator for a catholic school.

I know R1 visa permit individuals to work in a religious occupation but is a childcare educator in a catholic school could qualify ??

Is it possible to get a copy of an R1 issued in 1992 or any kind of document stating that one was issued to me and on what date? As far as I can remember I only had a stamp in my passport but there might some record
on paper somewhere. Thanks
