    CPT eligibility

    Hi,
    I have a question on CPT start date. When will a student become eligible for CPT? Is it after one year of academic year or one year of being in F1 status?
    Reason why I ask this question is: I was in US for 4 years on L1 visa and completed first semester of my MBA program at that time. Then I had to travel to India and come back in F1 visa to continue my studies (there was no gap in studies). My MBA started Jan 2012 but F1 started July 2012. Now my question is: when am I eligible for CPT? Is it Jan 2013 or July 2013?

      Im currently doing my CPT and I think you should do a full 1 academic year at your school for applying CPT
