Processing times for change of status H4 to F1

Hi everyone

I wanted to ask how long does it take for COS from H4 to F1 in vermont center ? Also i want to know what could be the possible reasons for rejection even if you have applied to a good university for MS?

2 to 3 months is normal.

Lack of evidence of available funds, lack of evidence of maintaining residence in home country are possible reasons.

Sorry to bother you, but you seem to be processing from H4 to F1. Could please let me know what are the documents you submitted? I also need to change my son's status from H4 to F1. I cant afford to hire a lawyer right now so any help would be greatly appreciated.
