Hello,
I'm student and i have valid F1 vise,multiple entry, the problem that i wrote my last name in I-94 according to my I-20 and the name was wrong.
I went to custom and border protection they told me that i have to issue a new I-20 and step outside the country and come back again to surrender the old I-94 and fill out a new one with the correct name.
I issued a new I-20 already.
my questions:
can i change my name in social security card without changing my I-94?
what's the closest (cheapest) country that i can go to?my main purpose is to get ride of the old I-94 and get a new one.
will i have any kind of problems when i came back? i will return under different last name? but it will be the same as my vise and new I-20.
Please help me to solve this issue.
