F2 to H1B Change of Status

Hi,

I am currently on F2 visa and i have an approved H1b petition .
I have an employer ready to file change my status from F2 to H1b . Is the conversion similar to applying a new H1b?
Could any one let me know the processing fee for change of status and how long can the process take.
Also if i apply for premium processing will i have more chances of getting rejected?

I have an employer ready to file change my status from F2 to H1b . Is the conversion similar to applying a new H1b? -- Yes, except that it is exempt from annual cap because you already have a petition approved.
Could any one let me know the processing fee for change of status and how long can the process take. -- Fees are to be paid by the employer and it will take 2 to 3 months in regular processing, 15 days in premium.
Also if i apply for premium processing will i have more chances of getting rejected? -- No.
