F-1/ OPT to work permit

Hello there,

My OPT is expiring on April of this year and my current employer is interested to sponsor me for a work permit. He wanted to sponsor me with a J-1 visa, but I don't have a certificate/degree from my hometown. Therefore, Im not qualified for this category of visa. Does anybody know what would be the best category of work permit that I should try?

If you have a 4 year Bachelor's degree or higher and if the job requires such a degree, your employer can file H1B for you in April. They should consult an experienced immigration attorney for help.
