F1/F2 visa and travel to USA

I am going to start my PhD program on fall 2013 and also fully STEM fellowship funded from USA school (70 rank). So I and my family attending for the VISA interview at India. Luckily if our VISA approved,

Can my family (on F2) travel after 8 months of my travel?
Are they are going to face any problem at Port of entry if they travel 8 months late as of mine?

Ideal Case Example:
Let I traveled on August 2013
Can my dependents travel on March end 2014?
Can they use the same F2 which was approved in OUR visa interview?
Or
Do they need a new approval with new I-20 at the time journey on March 2014?

As my wife working for an IT company India. With F2 visa, can she work from USA (work from home option), for India company. Off course it will be on USA night time and Indian day time.

Hi all
Could any one help me out please. Actually i have come to us on f2 ( spouse dependent).i want to convert from f2 to h1 because on f2 we cannot do the jobs. But could any one tell me what are the chances of getting h1.what is the procedure to convert from f2 to h1. Please help me out.i know the h1 quota is finished this year but i want to know the procedure n chances of getting h1. Please n please any one help me
