Hello Sir,
I have been closely following your thread since the day I recieved my pink slip at chennai consulate. I attended the visa interview on 4th june 2013 and was given a pink slip 221g. My i20 states the last date of joining as 22nd August. Until date my case is still under administrative processing only. What should I do when 60 days are elapsed? Please guide me Sir as I am really confused whether I will get my Visa before the college deadline.

My interview was also on 21st May in Chennai but no documents were asked.

You have two things in your favor:
1. You have been asked for documents.
2. The last submission was on 11th June.

So, you haven't missed the 1st processing lot per my understanding. Just have a little more sabr (Patience).

Hi snbtcca, Do you have any idea about my case
my interview done on 8th nov 2012 and no documents were asked and vo said my visa is approved but further admin process required and they retained my passport and they gave 8 weeks time but now 8 and half month no news. my case has been updated on ceac website on april 1st 2013 and keep calling DOS and sending mail to embassy nothing helps. My name is very common muslim name. Do you have any idea why it is taking such a long time.
In 2008 it took 5 months to get cleared in mumbai embassy and the visa expired and this is for renewal.
