It was extremely useful.

Does anyone have such stats for Delhi?

Also, do you have stats on visa-wise distribution of 221(g) admin processing time? I am especially interested to know how much time they take for approving F1 visa when someone is on OPT and they do admin process.?

1 pending since 4th April 2013;

Information like issued cases , case dates, shift of processing dates was useful for visa applicants coming under 221g AP . Hoping that someone can continue the case stats and trends study .

Case pending since 28th May

My F1 visa has gone under 221g administrative processing at Chennai and it's been over 75 days. My course starts 20th August and I am in a spot of bother. I have the famous surname 'KHAN'. Apart from that I don't see any reason why my visa is held back. Any advices people???

221(g) - Additional Administrative Processing - Chennai Consulate - Stats-13st August

From what i understand from the Case Status report.

As of 13th august, the processing lot moves to June 15th. The way i see it is, on 13th august they have granted 12 visas and most of them are from June 14th. So on average it takes around 8 weeks for these things to clear up.

The worrying part is they are not consistently moving this lot. for example 12th august they have only granted 2 visas. The way you get the day number is from your Case Number. 2013165 xxx x in this the 165 is the day of the year and it is June 14th.

Mine is 203 and there are 24 lots in between and if it moves at the current speed it will be probably Mid September to receive any response for my case.

Anybody has any other ideas?

Analysing is not possible from my side but all I can say is Chennai consulate has cleared 50+ cases today. My friend was stuck along with me who had given one week before me.. He also made it together with me...
