  • F1 visa, Form DS-160 filling up help.

    Hello!
I have booked my visa slot recently for the year 2013. I have completed all the process including Visa fee, Submitting DS160, Paying sevis fee.

    My doubt:
In the year 2008 I applied for a visitors visa for which sponsor was my sister(married) who stays in USA and it was declined. Reason given was potential immigrant.

Now in 2013 I applied for F1 visa. The university I got admit from is where my sister stays currently. The university is just an average one, My GRE is also just average or slightly lower than average. So keeping in mind that my student profile is not very strong:

    1. Is it necessary for me to mention my sister as a sibling in DS160?
    2. Is it necessary for me to mentions the city where she stays?
    3. If we mention siblings is currently in USA, will our chance of getting a visa be lowered?
    4. If I wont mention her in DS160 is there any way visa officer may track?
    5. Would visa officer have details of my 2008 interview and its sponsors?

I want my visa profile to be strong, so please suggest me which would have higher chance of getting visa(Mentioning my sis in DS160 or not)?
    Thank you for ur comments.
    -Biker

Please note: I do not want any advise on how to build up my student profile, Example: Retake GRE , Apply for a better university etc etc, I dont want such advises!
