Hi,
My wife is filling the DS160 for an F2 VISA and the online form asks for the previous US VISA number. This expired US VISA in her name has been misplaced and we do not know the VISA number. The form does allow me to select a check-box labelled 'Do not know'. But I was just wondering whether selecting this option would affect our chances of getting the new VISA.
Also, the form later asks whether a VISA has ever been lost. Her VISA was misplaced only after it expired. So my second question - Is an 'expired' VISA also considered lost? I read somewhere that a VISA is considered lost only if the VISA was valid at the time of it getting lost.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
