  • Visa Application

    Respected Sir,
This is Bharathi Gavirineni from Hyderabad.I have a doubt in the visa application form and i have made a few mistakes in it.That is instead of mentioning my place of birth as Vijayawada i mentioned it as Hyderabad. It is Vijayawada in my passport.so i have to change it even in the form which i already filled.I would be delighted if u could suggest me a way to change it without cancelling the appoinment. Will it be ok if i leave it like that and still it will not have any effect on my visa and even little information has to be changed in the US Contact Information section. And lastly i have completed my B-tech this april and intereste to go for pursuing my MS this spring. The university i was thinking of is Texas Tech University and i would like to know if I'm eligible for the emergency student visa.my university will be starting around first week of jan.i would like to know the details of emergency visa nd am i eligible for that.so please guide me in this process and hoping for a reply from u soon.
    Thanking u
    Yours Sincerely
    Bharathi Gavirineni

    Hello
If you have listed ur birth place as Hyderabad instead of Vijaywada then you are heading towards trouble as they will defintely reject ur application on that basis as you are providing wrong info. call tts services and explain ur situation and ask them what's the best course of action. If they say that you have cancel the appointment and then apply again then u have no choice sorry dude on that.

But i guess there may be a chance to recitify on ur mistakes do call them and make sure ok.

second thing what's an emergency Visa ?....... u are going to join the University JAN 2006 or 2005 if it's 2005 u are way late and if it's 2006 you still have time. Try to find an appointment at a different region like mumbai, delhi or some place - For that also call tts services and ask them if you can do that.
For documentation purposes you can send in the I-20 expalining the start date of the spring semester and also send an email to international office from Texas Tech University and ask them if they are able to send an email or a letter informing that you have expressed ur interest to join the university in Jan 2006 so that it might help you in securing a appointment at a different consulate.
    Hope this helps Good luck
