Hello Everyone,
Hope you all are doing well, I am planning to go to US to do my Masters in Computer Science. I recently gave an interview in Mumbai consulate and my visa application got rejected. Here is how my interview went.
Vo: Which University?
Ans: Sacred Heart University
Vo: What is your major?
Ans: I am going to do my Masters in Computer Science
Vo: How are you going to pay for your education costs?
Ans: My mother is sponsoring me
Vo: What does she do?
Ans: She is a homemaker and she gets benifits of my father.
Vo: I am sorry I can not grant you a visa under 214b.
Me: Thank you
My father passed away last year and since thn my mother has been receiving monthly pensions. My father was on a high post so my mother receives Rs 60000 as a pension monthly. We also have saving bank balance of Rs 24 Lakhs + PPF + FD, total worth of Rs 40 Lakhs. To be on safer side I also asked my cousin to sponsor me so now my total funds are Rs 50 Lakhs. We also have immovable assets worth of more thn 3 crores.
My mother is a housewife and she is a widow is this the reason of my visa denial?
If so, How should I be prepared for my next interview which is on Tuesday?
Please help me out here, I would really appreciate your help!
