Second Master's student, F1 Visa expired on July 2013 but Sevis is active

I have pursued my master's and graduated in Dec 2010. I have used up my OPT. I have applied for second master's and my SEVIS is activated with the new university. But my Visa expired on July 2013. My question is that If I go back to India, will I be stopped at POE on return. Do I still have to renew my F1 Visa to come back to US?

You probably won't be able to enter the US with an expired visa. If you go back to India, you should apply for a new F1 visa. With your new I-20 and a valid F1 visa, you will be able to enter the US.

You will need to get the Visa. Without it even the Airline won't allow you to fly.
