Regarding carrying old expired passport with valid visa

Hello all!

I will be going to the US on a student visa (Type: F1), which is in my current, valid passport. However, I also have a valid tourist visa (Type: B1/B2) in my old, expired passport.

As I am going to do my Masters, I will be entering US with the F1 visa, not the B1 (won't be using the tourist visa at all). Then do I need to take the old passport with me?

I am not an expert, but when i travel, i carry both my passports (The expired one, as well as the new one).
