Hi,
The story is a bit confusing but I really need help with this. I applied for F-1 visa from India in 2011 and was refused. The visa officer just said 'why don't you apply next time' and did not give me any slip, form, reason, number whatever one can think of.
I was extremely put off by this and never applied again.
Please note - I was single at the time and I was going to do a film course in US, I understand if he saw me as a possible immigrant but still should have given me at least a piece of paper which states the reason.
Now, I have a full time job, married and stays in Dubai. I am applying for UK visa and they have asked the question in application that have I ever been rejected for any visa?
Now the question - How long does this information stays in the system that a certain visa was rejected? And should I mention this on my UK application? If yes what reason should I give because I have no reason myself.
