F1 visa 2013 approval after 3 B1/2 rejects in 2012

Hi I had applied thrice for a B1/2 visa in 2012 which were rejected on the basis of 214(b) ie insufficient ties to home country. The first 2 time I was applying for a tourist visa to attend my sister's wedding and the third time for a UN conference. however all three attempts were in a span of 3 months.
Now I'm applying for a F1 visa University of Connecticut PhD program for spring 2014 with a profile of GRE-315 Toefl-116 Undergrad- 74.4% good research studies and 1 year work experience.
I have a fulltime graduate assistantship with a full tuition waiver.
I want to know if my previous rejects will have any bearing on my F1 visa approval chances.... Please help me out guys

Could you please share, did you get your visa ?

The course which you have applied for is in the same city where your sister lives ?
