Converting from H4 to F1
Hi Everyone!
I am planning to do my masters in computer science next yr in Aug 2014. As per my college rules, I need not be on F1 the entire time to enjoy in-state benefits and can stay on h4, so I will be applying for F1 in my last semester.
Also, I haven't visited India since i came here (may 2012). Secondly, I applied for H1 this yr and got an RFE on it, and the RFE got rejected.
My question is:
1. How much time will it take for H4 to F1 conversion?
2. How can I prove my ties to home country are strong?
3. Is it better to go back to India to get my visa stamped?
4. I am applying for loan for my studies. Should I ask my parent to pay for 1 semester so that my ties to home country are strong?
5. Should I visit India before starting my studies?
Plz help! I dont want to be stuck on H4 during my education!!!
