how soon should I send the passport for F1 VISA issuance from the date they approved the VISA. It is just that I have a visitor VISA and kind in hury to do some stuff in US then plan to go back out of US and stamp the F1 VISA would that be fine. will they wait for like 2.5 months?

Sending passport for stamping?. My friend, there is no way they stamp your passport in USA or in INDIA unless you go for visa interview. Change of status from any kind of visa in USA may take anywhere between 1 month to 1 year, one cannot predict the time it takes. secondly you need to go to your home country if you want to get your visa stamped in your passport provided that they APPROVE YOUR f1. again when you go for stamping in INDIA its like new interview itself.
