Changing status from B2( visitors) to F1 (student) visa??

Hi folks,....has anyone of you changed your status from B2 (visitor) to F1( student) visa while in the US. What are the problems, chances and consequences?. Would appreciate any comments. Am planning on getting an I-20 from Kaplan. How bad is that or any negative aspects to it?. Let me know if you've had a similar experiance or know someone. I'm in a sort of confused mind regarding this process now. Thank you for your help in advance.

changin from B1 to F1

I did the same thing ..was denied had to leave the country..
depends on your situation.most importantly how long have you been in the US.
