Hello,
I graduated from a 2-year college with an A.S. in Math in Dec 2013. I was recently approved for an OPT program valid for 12 months, starting in Feb 2014. The school DSO told me that if I don`t find an employer within the first 3 months of my OPT program, I should transfer to another school in order to keep my legal status. Do I lose my work authorization if I can`t find an employer during that time frame? Plus, If I`m not able to find an employer during the 12 months of the OPT program, can I transfer after the expiration date of the my employment authorization card to a 4-year university?
