Hello,
I will be going to USA for the Fall 14 semester. My passport expires in November 2015. However, I can apply for renewal only 1 year before date of expiry, right?
Is this a cause for concern? Will the F1 visa be issued only till the date my passport is valid?
Moreover the US immigration policy states the following:
A passport valid for travel to the United States with validity dates at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the United States (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions).
Has someone faced a similar issue? What are my options?
